Ask For It!

Best way to save Crowell Hilaka: If you want it, ask for it!

Over half the usable sites at Crowell Hilaka are waiting for permission from the GSNEO board of directors to re-open! The GSNEO directors need to know if members WANT these sites. They need to hear from lots of different campers - and they need to hear frequently!

Every time your troop is closed out of its preferred site - whether it's at C/H, Great Trail, or any of the other GSNEO camps - TELL them what site you wanted and why. Tell them if you found an acceptable alternative or had to "settle". Open sites at C/H are very limited - and filling up fast! The ONLY way the board will know if demand is greater than supply is if you tell them about it.

To reach the board, go to www.gsneo.org. In the "quick links" box on the left, click on "customer service survey". There is a series of questions, and then a space for any comment you wish to make. The council tabulates all comments and questions that go though this route.

If you wish, you can also tell the FoCHs about your comment via the regular group - or off list at lynndragonwing@roadrunner.com so that we can keep tabs too.
