Other Friends groups

There are other camps facing closure around the country, and other groups like ours fighting to keep them open.  Here are some examples:

Our friends to the south: Friends of Great Trails Girl Scout Camp

Camp Little Notch in upstate New York is in a situation very similar to ours.  The camp is owned by a council formed by the merger of four smaller councils.  The new council has closed the camp for an undetermined period of time.  An organization, Friends of Camp Little Notch, has been formed and incorporated to work to save the camp, and it is applying for 501(c)3 status.
