Robinson Shelter
Robinson Shelter commands a spectacular view of the Lower Lake. Unassuming in its amenities, it has neither water nor latrine. Its fire grill has rusted away to "artifact" status. No matter. It is the glorious crown of the Lower Lake Trail.
It was named in honor of Betty (Mrs. William) Robinson. "Betty died of a stroke about three weeks before she was to have been given Scoutings highest honor [the Thanks Badge]. In her fifteen years in Scouting, she had such an influence on the girls in her troop that a number of them went on to become enthusiastic leaders and camp staff members. She was also a day camp director and outdoor skills trainer, and was helping to plan the Cadette Encampment." -- Millwheel, May/June 1967, page 1
